Dual-Frequency Single-Beam Echo Sounder: USV Installation

Watch a dual-frequency single-beam installation covering the transducer bracket, cable routing, deck unit and onboard computer.

Original TOKNAV-supplied demonstration with embedded English instructions. Use the chapter buttons to jump to the selected step.

What this video shows

This is a dual-frequency single-beam installation, not a multibeam system. The video explains how the transducer, deck unit and computer are connected. It supports discussions about the physical integration of a river-survey package; it does not demonstrate the performance of either frequency in a particular sediment condition.

Video chapters and operating notes

  1. Identify the supplied mounting plate, transducer and cable path.

  2. Review the mounting orientation and fasteners for the equipment shown.

  3. Route the transducer cable through the watertight entry.

  4. Keep the cable path supported and accessible for inspection.

  5. Connect the transducer and power using the correct equipment documentation.

  6. Complete the acquisition-computer connections and verify communication.

Before specifying your equipment

Ask for the selected sounder model and a corrected, current specification sheet. The video uses temporary attachment during demonstration; the deck unit and computer need suitable permanent mounting in service. Plan an actual site check to assess usable bottom returns and the project depth reference.
